It's been a while since I've sorted any, so I figured what the hell.

Hope you get lucky...my bank stopped getting boxes for me unless I open a "business" account (which probably involves paying higher monthly "service fees").

It is a credit union, not a bank....maybe that's why I'm still able to get them. The teller looked at me funny when I asked her to fetch me 50 FV in nickels!

2019 numbers

752,880,000 P
527,040,000 D

My, how the world has changed since the last post in this thread. The credit union that is holding my cash hostage has closed their lobbies so I have no access to the coin counters. I'm getting old and don't feel like hauling my nickels if I should ever need to move quickly. What's the gold to nickel ratio right now? LOL

Thanks for all the good info and advice in this thread.

2015 P AND 2019 P exactly the same mintage. I did a quick scan through and didn't see any other years with the exact same mintage.

Found this post, now going through pre 1960's nickels that I had set aside and am getting overwhelmed. Struggling with what is worth putting in a 2x2(to make the sure my wife and kids don't spend it) based on mintage, condition, value, etc.

I think you meant 100 million instead of 1 m. Actually, trivia buffs might be interested to know that the last circulation strike U.S. nickel with a mintage under 1 million was the 1926-S Buffalo nickel with 970,000 minted.

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. I respectfully disagree. The 2919-P mintage quoted by shinnosuke above was 752,880,000. The 2022 Red Book says it was 567,854,400 instead.

I love finding those. Never found a war nickel ender yet. Found 3 of them in my last $100 box. After removing the paper I'm able to identify war nickels by their rims with 90% accuracy. Those damn '64s have fooled me a few times though.

I have taken the mintage figures for Jefferson's and loaded them into a database and sorted by mintage. Here is the result:
