Wondering if he is still hunkered down in the woods by the stream of good water with his 170 boxes or so of virgin nickels....

* PONCE was a dude from the old REAL CENT site that talked nothing of Nickels, He says he took delivery at one time $5000 in "bricks" then he checked out and hasn't been back. IIRC he was Cuban so metals was what he like especially "nicks".

and does anyone know what happened to Ardent's cache of CA Nickel?

I also enjoyed having Ponce around. Perhaps he and many others will remake appearances when the financial collapse is but upon us again.

I think Ponce may have been the first one to use the catch phrase "if it isn't in your hand, you don't own it"

Dude was pretty old. He very well may not be with us.
His brain is warped by cuban communism.

The guy truly hated everything government.
He got all excited when usps was bleeding so bad they might bankrupt, he though that was great
He quit RC when some agreed that Joe Stack was not a hero.

Is that your shaky hand, Ray or bad eyesight? The alternative is not so great....nowadays you would be lucky to get your name on a piece of granite.

With all the nickel threads it just reminded me of PONCE. He was out there like way out there.
