Ni metal falls off cliff

Looks like Nickel metal fell off a cliff today.

closed Friday at $13.06/Lb, but Kitco currently shows $8.35/Lb :o

Can't find any news that would drive this steep sell-off?

Not sure. Might be a bad tick on Kitco. Another chart I saw this morning showed almost no change.

Dont know where Coinflation gets their prices but they also show $8.35@ lb.

Yeah, I saw that $4 drop too on Coinflation.

Interesting that Zn pennies are about 90% worth of face value in metal content though. Does zinc depend on the cent production to keep it in demand much?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question about demand; however, I can tell you that Zinc was MORE THAN 100 percent of face last spring. This was not just a one or two day thing. It stayed above melt for a few weeks.
