New style Silver Rodebaugh ingot

Postby Rodebaugh » Tue Jan 31, 2012 8:41 pm

Just a friendly heads up. Three Days until the Copper Cave opens the for sale flood gates. Good luck. ;)

So I was tinkering around in the melt shop with some extra silver I have. I was trying new things, new sizes, and as usual just playing around. Anyway, I think I made a style that may be one of coolest yet. I produced a run of 4 test ingots that need one more quick polish.....then I'll post Pictures. Give me an hour or so.

Man these are cool,
Doc 8-)

No change to the stamp......but the ingot.....Talk about a cool little chunkster. Pics are nice....but the hand feel is perfect.

Heres a photo of one next to a dime for size.

Thanks guys. :P

Like I said, it’s the feel that makes this ingot so nice. If I am going to continue this size of one ouncers I do need to look into getting a new stamp to set it apart from the traditional Rodebar. It needs to stand alone as its own series and not be just an accessory to the existing production ingots.

I like my WVCoin miner logo.....just getting it to look right with the wording is challenging to say the least. It may be time to dust off the old paint files and go back to the drawing board.

Ok after 3 PMs from folks wanting one of these test ingots I think I should note what is to become of these 4.

The 4 tests ingots that I have made with the traditional stamp are to be moved as followed:

1-My safety deposit box
2-Dads safety deposit box (I am sure he is happy to be reading this.....He's a daily lurker)
3-In the melt shop for fun
4-Maybe a KSA auction....maybe not

It is my good fortune and privilege to have one of the skinnier Rodebars. The "fat" one, from the pics shown here, looks like Doc has produced another winner.

I haven't a doubt about a new stamp. A question, though... any larger sizes being planned out ? I sure would not mind having a Rodebar deuce ( although my wallet is screaming at me for saying it ) and trey ....

I'm still curious... did you design the font or is it one already in the public domain?

Nice looking bar Doc. In my eyes it just screams "Real Money!!!"

Nice job, Chris. Fun to have a niche hobby, where you can create something in demand. Those bars didn't exist before you breathed life into them. Makes you feel God-like (as if we needed more of that!) doesn't it?

You must have more silver than you know what to do with if you have EXTRA silver bars!
