oh my!!! what can one say?....I watched that...its very coherent, stat based, and i'm so bullish $250 a toz Ag is "conservative" to me.....but watch, we hit crazy levels?.....gummit gonna slap a 50% "windfall tax" on all silver sales, at least those that are done in the white market.

Would not surprise me at all... or an outright ban silver and gold. A black market will develop, but then the government could pass a law to put you in jail if caught with PMs in your possession. You can bet that TPTB are going to do everything to keep their power/control once things really start to fall apart. The non-compliant will receive large boot marks on their faces.

True, but all they have to do is make people fearful... the same fear that keeps people paying/reporting their taxes every year. It keeps the majority in line and under control.

It's quite possible, especially when the stock market is going down and PMs are doing the opposite. However, nothing goes straight up and another paper dump will happen again. Dry powder is already ready.

I'm surprised there isn't more activity here with what has been going on with PM prices.

Doc, in all due respect, I think "oober"(hey bud) and yourself might be wrong.

the THING you both have in your favor is that the Fed is making hawkish noises about a rate "increase", i'm writing this on 26 May 2016, just heard over the "news", and we all remember the previous rate increase, and its ramifications, equities sell off, hard asset sell off, PM sell off, etc.

I know most regular posters here have a robust stack, so any downdraft to the $13 to $9 level would be most welcome.

I don't believe that is in the cards, and i'm NOT trying to be argumentative.

There was a day, when PM's had a geopolitical aspect to pricing, which has receded in the 21st century.

even though the board is a farce, I been watching the way it trades, since the zip up from the $14 area....and something has shifted, there's a change...and that dovetails with watching the USD and the Euro trade, they have both been locked in a tight band, 93-95 in the USD, 1.11-1.13 in the euro....I can see when the PPT supports the dollar, and before when they did, they would slam Ag.....that doesn't happen now.....somebody, is on the board buying....I can see their footprints, and then I think about the meager 32 or 37 mm toz deliverable.....and UNLESS there is the inevitable global market sell off....I don't know brothers.

I've not tried that ritual, but the idea helps clarify for me . . . how solid is my ownership of something.
The paper market / storage with someone else, regardless of whether 'allocated' or 'unallocated' . . . is too tenuous for me.
