Great Old Silver Quote From Years Ago

I just saw this old quote from years ago:

"ONE DOLLAR IN SILVER NUGGETS
As approved by the Secretary of the Treasury
June 4, 1963, Public Law 88-36. Me be
secured only by presenting in person one
silver certificate to United States Assay Office,
115 Hermann Street, San Francisco, Cal. at the
monetary value of $1.292 per fine troy ounce
on or before June 24, 1968."

This was .7734 of an ounce of silver ($1.292 x .7734 = $1.00 (Silver Certificate)

For the uninitiated, you used to be able to turn in silver certificates to exchange for physical silver. The vial you received contained a little over 3/4 of a troy ounce of silver shot (little balls of silver) and contained the above quote.

It looks like the U.S. Mint still has operations at that location- per Google Maps. I wonder what would happen if you went to the location with a bunch of one dollar silver certificates and demanded payment. (Of course they would say no- see the 6/24/68 expiration date mentioned above)
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
