All years I've been checking my local reject bins, the only silver I've found was 2-3 few Rosies, one Wash quarter and a 1967 JFK half. All the rest has been regular clad and foreign coins.

I expect more downside in the coming weeks.

Just think... 3 months ago it was flying off the shelf at the highest premiums in history.

Human nature is quite bewildering, but predictable. The majority of ppl out there buy on hype and fear. Huge mistake. Still, if they hold long term and don't sell, they will be fine.

Waiting for $15-17 again before buying more. At this point it would just be icing on the cake. If it never gets back down there, no biggie.

I agree, but I'm not very alarmed right now. Things are much different now than in '87. Unless some HUGE black swan appears early in the trading week TPTB and BTFD (buy the f'n dip) algos won't let things crash. The bailouts keep coming, which is only causing more moral hazard.

I agree the latest financial issue, by itself, is survivable, but catastrophes rarely happen from a single point of failure. They take on another nature when a second or third issue starts interacting with the first. It is that type of thing (black swan, if you will) that is difficult to predict, and difficult to tell where it will go. There are a lot of things starting to going bad at the same time. That creates a risky time. We might get past it, but I think we only lack one more major crisis to pop up
to push things past a point of no return.

Yes, but I thought they might be listing the buy price on their website. You typically have to call for that. Sometimes they send emails. Last year when ASE premiums were peaking Apmex sent out an email saying they would pay $10 over spot for ASEs... Whenever they do that, it's a huge contrary indicator meaning silver price has hit a short term peak.

Oh, now I see it. Didn't scroll down far enough. At least SD gives the buy prices. Ampex doesn't do that, you have to call them.

Take note... when bank failures happen, fear is high and confidence is waning, the first Ag product that disappears off the shelf is 90% coins.

When the SHTF, food, ammo and 90% coins will be the main barter instruments. ASEs and bars will too, but only for larger items.
