1941 Metallic Wheat Cent

Postby Larkin » Mon Jan 10, 2011 3:13 pm

Just found a 1941 lincoln wheat cent that I would bet is a steel cent. However, I know that couldn't be the case as they were only minted in 1943. Anyone else ever seen one like this?

Try a magnet on it to see if it sticks, I have found two none plated zinc in the past two months but nothing that old I hope you found the mother load.

No magnetism. Magnet had no effect. Oh well, will just throw in the wheatie bucket and go on.
