Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. ~Chief Seattle, 1855
Maximilian III Joseph Maximillian III Prince-elector of Bavaria 20 January 1745 30 December 1777 Wittelsbach Son of Charles Albert. Maximilian III, who had no children, was the last of the direct Bavarian Wittelsbach line descended from Louis IV. 1763 BOLIVIA POTOSI MINT 1 REAL COB COIN CHARLES III
Charles III of Spain (reigned 1759-1788)
Potosi Bolivia - The city was at its most splendorous during the 16th century and grew to become one of the most populated cities in the world, surpassing even the largest cities in the Old World. It was culturally and architecturally enviable and its inhabitants were known to be extremely ostentatious. Among other eccentricities, for example, during the procession of Corpus Christi in 1658 the city center cobblestones were dug up and replaced with bars of silver all the way to the Recoleto Church. This display of luxury gave rise to legends about the American city whose streets were paved with silver and not cobblestones, and that so much silver was used to pave its streets that it was enough to build a solid silver bridge from Potosí to Madrid.

Uh oh. We've been stuck on 1757 for two weeks now. I have nothing until 1754. 1757 - 1756 - 1755 - spacemanX 1754 - Country - spacemanX - uthminsta 1753 - spacemanX 1752 - spacemanX - TJCF 1751 - spacemanX - TJCF 1750 - spacemanX - uthminsta 1749 - spacemanX 1748 - spacemanX 1747 - spacemanX 1746 - spacemanX - uthminsta 1745 - spacemanX 1744 - spacemanX 1743 - uthminsta 1742 - spacemanX - TJCF 1741 - spacemanX 1740 - Consider this: the process for this thread idea has really been a lot like filling in a Whitman "bingo" folder. You have all kinds of hits at first, then it slows down, then you have to dig a little deeper, enlist the help of others (in this case more members; in the Whitman analogy it would be going to the coin shop), then it slows down and slows down... until finally you really cherish each and every hit.
