About NIFC halves:

What are they really worth? They're not silver, but intended for collectors of mint sets. I have found a number of these in my latest halves CRH, and would like to sell them, since I'm really only interested in the silver ones. I have several 2010, and some 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, all in nice condition. I also have an unusually brilliant 1989, but not sure if it's a proof.

I looked on the bay, lots of listings but few bids. So again, how much are these worth and where should I look to sell them?

I know Country already responded but thought I would tell you the info I got from a guy at the flea market. He said unless they were in the original packaging nobody would buy them as they want them in uncirculated condition and since they were pulled from other types of rolls and/or bags, then they are no longer considered uncirculated.

I disagree. My wife had a booth at an antique store for a while in 2008. I put the proofs in 2x2's and sold them. Most of them I sold for $5. One of them I sold for $20. I cannot remember what year it was.

It is my understanding the a proof coin is different from one that is just a NIFC coin. So proofs might sell. But the coin guy was NOT interested in the NIFC coins as they had become circulated if these coins were found in rolls, bags, etc.

PTP, my apologies, for some reason I thought he was asking about proofs. The only NIFC's that we sold were some 1987's that we found and I got $5 for them.

Posted 11:30 pm pacific time on 5/31/2011:

26 rolls CWR Dimes: Skunk

55 rolls CWR Nickels:
silver war nickels--skunk
pre-1960--21
Canadian--1972, 1973, 1988

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, my pickup bank wasn't able to get my halves order placed in time for delivery this week, so I've been going around picking up nickels and dimes at other local banks (nobody has sealed boxes of halves, special order only).
