I was just telling my son Franklin that it has been a while since he has found an IH. And he said "it's a communist plot".

I too suspect a communist plot. Found a 1907 tonight after searching approximately 10K since finding my last headdress!

I got three Indian Heads in a batch of $440 worth of pennies I got from my kids elementary school penny wars. Here is a picture of them.

I got Indian Head number 12 in a $50 bag I picked up on 5/25/2012. I just ran the bag through the Ryedale on Tuesday and noticed the Indian on the top of the hopper while loading.

A couple weeks ago, I found a nice 1891 in a Brinks box. I showed it to one of the bank tellers and she told me, "I saw one like that but didn't know what it was so I threw it back in." That must be how IH's stay in circulation.

Found a 1903 IH today in a $50 bag. I thought I would never find another IH. Just last week I found two V nickels from separate Brinks roll searches. Funny how these 100+ year old coins turn up in clusters.

This was a first for me. I've found a couple over the years volume sorting bags and rolls but never got one legit in pocket change. That changed Sunday evening. I was at the local Pick-N-Save picking up a few items and my total was $20.97. Got back two zincers ***AND***

1904 Indian Head

The checker didn't even notice it.

This is on top of finding a 1911 wheatie in the garbage can next to the coin counter dumping Saturday morning.

Two 100+ year old coins in back-to-back days!!

Guess I should have reported my first find here; I'll have to go look it up.

Got my second yesterday, while doing some minor hand sorting (instead of using the Ryedale) simply as a mindless stress reduction exercise (good for that). A worn 1901, but still an Indian! After nothing for 18 months, two within a couple of months!

Found an 1883 in a Brinks box. A bit worn, but no corrosion.

My first one this year! :D

Found a nice 1906 last night. I forgot about our tracking threads here and have a handful of other IH finds I could report too that I will get around to. :)

With your other famous find, I wouldn't put it past you to find an 1877. It's just a matter of time. And sorting persistence. RIGHT???
