I tried out my new (used) Fisher CZ20 underwater detector today but all I found was 2 dimes, 1 coroded zincoln and some fishing sinkers.

I did find a 1951 Ben Franklin half on Sunday though!

Got out for four hours of solid detecting today at local school yard.

77 - 1
7 - 5
20 - 10
17 - 25
1 - 50 (1966 :P )
1 - foreign - Mexican
123 total coins

Also an aluminum trade token "Good for 5 cents in Trade" . Unfortunately reverse side is full of crap and unreadable. Soaking it in hydrogen peroxide.

Jewelry was all costume.

This is the 1st time I have read ANY of this thread.

What do ya'll dig with? I have broke every cheap china mart garden tool I could find laying around trying to dig.

My daughter and I dug last year in the yard. Found a bunch of change beside the driveway. Stuff that fell out pulling keys out of pockets over the years.

Found a silver dime and wheat in the same spot in the back yard.

Ya'll have got me interested in pulling out the MD and seeing what else I can find.

I dig with a "Lesche" digger. It's like a combination between a Revolutionary War bayonet and a Rambo knife! :D Try to google it.

I hit rings #8, #9, and #10 yesterday. The first two were silver with a combined weight of 8.48 grams. Ring #10 had me thinking platinum but was stainless steel from China.

Ok, so the state of Minn. government shut down this week so I get an unexpected couple days off from work, until we can get moved over to a job in North Dakota. Get out my stuff to head to the lake about ten miles away, because the one here in town is just to crowded. ( Half mile long with up to 10k people using it over the 4th week end.) Well crap, the one I wanted to go to for some reason is closed. Two miles back into a little town beach early morning and I am the second one there. I had not done this beach in a couple years and the water was just great. The hunt was great and the beach hunter worked like a charm.

Three Hour hunt:
8 qts.
9 dimes
9 nicks
37 zn
17 cu
1 1956 wheat
2 Junk rings
1 Game boy game
1 9mm shell casing
1 junk loop ear ring
3 Hrs of peace of mind and glad to be back in the water. Just hope I don't get swimmer itch again!!!!

I broke 4000 coins today and found ring #12. The ring was a fake Tiffany & Co. one. Still nice to see gold in the bottom of the plug!

I'll get a picture up tomorrow!

Ten thousand people on the beach in Detroit Lakes Mn. to watch the fourth of July fireworks, so make my normal fifth of july trek to the beach for a quick seach in and out of the water early morning before the crowds come.

One 14 k fine gold chain with heart shaped diamond, and insperation printed ring.
One nice sterling silver ring
6 qts
5 dimes
8 nicks
7 Cu
17 Zn

Rings #8, #9, and #10 from an earlier post. Two on the left are silver and the right is stainless steel from china.

8.48 grams of silver and maybe a little bit of small ice on the bigger ring.
