$15.00 (OVER 7 PENNIES TOTAL) - 24 CWRs & 6 BWRs

1959 - 1981 Cu pennies - 303 (Best was 98% Cu, counting the 1982s X 1 roll; Worst was 8% Cu X 2 rolls)

*******Interesting fact about the 98% Cu roll. The one non-Cu coin was a 2000. This roll was a CWR so I am wondering if someone had already searched this roll for wheats and perhaps found one and replaced it with the 2000 penny. :?:

Cu "S" Mint Mark - 6

1982 Cu - 8
1982 Zinc - 0
(1982 Pennies are checked on a digital scale)

Indian Head - None

Wheats - 3 (No Pre-40 Wheats)

Canadian Cu - 1 ('84)

2009 - LP1 - 1
2009 - LP2 - 0
2009 - LP3 - 0
2009 - LP4 - 1
(2009 is the year our son married so I keep the 2009 coins for anniversary coin jars for future anniversary gifts.)

Other - 6 -- 2010 Shield Pennies (all P mint mark)

*Please Note: I do not keep track of the kids' birth years (both are zinc years) any longer, although I save them, unless it is some spectacular amount in a roll.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

Went to one of my banks this afternoon to buy a $25 box. The only box she had was a full box of the shield design. The only other pennies they had was 30 customer rolls they took in earlier in the morning.

334 coppers
5 wheats
0 canadians
%22 keepers

The great thing about this purchase was how the customer over-stuffed his rolls.

37 extra pennies along with a dime = 47 extra cents. woo :P hoo

Sorted one box of 2500. This turned out to be on the exceptional side for copper:
(larger numbers very slightly rounded)
1500 ZN
100 '82s ZN & CU

Assuming all the 82s are ZN that leaves:
900 CU and of these
50 Canadian CU
40 Grade AU minus
20 Wheats
1 Steel War Penny

Accumulate More! it's a Jungle out there.

Nice box, however....
Did you hand sort this nice box? Seems to be a little too much rounding....
Gotta be a hand sort to count in the stats... :?

Since you know exactly how many COPPERs you have found, I am going to assume that took some measure of handsorting to quantify them. For your $1000 worth of searching, you have found 15858, 1959-1981, Lincoln Memorial COPPERS. However, since you don't breakdown the 1982s, the 1982s will NOT count. The 382 Wheats and 107 COPPER Canadians will count too. :)

1 - 1998 WAM, that is six total this year, and four 2000 WAMs. No 99's or 92D CAMs.

$20 in Loomis rolls:

410 - Coppers
10 - Wheats
3 - Canadians

Staying right at the 20% CU level for now.

OR WE COULD APPLY THE ' RULE OF THUMB' OF 70% cu in the 82;s???????

Sorry, none of your 1982s count. 1982s reflect the hand-counted COPPER 1982s that are either weighed or Ryedale checked. :|

250 CWR's
2872 total copper (22.97%) -average for me
23 wheat -below average
24 Canadian Cu
1 bahama cent
1 plastic penny
14 dimes

Just a quick observations on previous comments.
I use a small, cheap scale to help with the hand sort. If you want to separate the zinc 82's from the copper 82's this would be a cheap and quick way to do it.

This is a repost of 10/27/10. Looks like I have to revamp my reporting style to get my numbers counted.

One box 2500

CU - 829
Canadian CU - 50
Wheats - 20

And yes, my fingers are so stiff I attest to the "Hand Sorting".
