You can tell if someone lives near TJCF because they have holes in their pockets and no rings on their fingers.

Here I have a landscaping business, and a $700.00 Tesoro Lobo, and I won't use it because it's too painful to DIG!

A bad L-5, and my boxing years finally caught up with me. The left shoulder is aching all the time and my left hand goes numb on a regular basis.

I need a new skeleton.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

Yep...took it in...and yepper....FAKE! A nice copper bracelet in my possession.

My next purchase will be an acid test kit for gold.

Then the next one after that will be a diamond tester.

At least the little ring found the same day got me a $20 bill! :D

Dad and I hit up an old school yard for half an hour. I found 67 cents. I spent 50 of that 67 on an Ice creme cone on the way home.

If dad wants a cone he is going to have to find more coin.

I figured you give him a cone or two then hit 'em in the wallet for filling a cavity or two!

Just got home from being on the road for a week of hard work. Leave again in a few hrs. After the july 4th week end I did get to the beach here in town. Found a good amount of things, but the cool part was that I found some army dog tags. Putting them in my bag with the other things. Then about an hour later my girl friend and her daughter came down to the beach to have lunch with me. Looking at the three rings and change I found, I pull out the dog tags. Monica looked at them and said I know him. He's home on leave, the cool part was we had them back to him with in the hour. He had been swimming on the fourth and some one had broke the chain around his neck.

Just a small milestone for me. Just the other evening after work....found 35 coins (13 pennies) to push me over 5000 coins for the year so far.

Only 4 silvers though. 1-quarter 2-roosies 1-merc
17 wheats....all common 40's and 50's
13 rings 5-silver 2-gold 6-all types of junk
1-gold earring
1-silver bracelet

So, as of today, July 26, I'm at 5013 coins for $282.81!

(I've dug up 100's of copper pennies!)

Had friends over for a BBque the other night. Sitting around shooting the bull I pulled out some of the things I had found metal detecting this year to show off a little. Arty says, I lost a gold band in the lake at one of our freinds last week. Two days later her husband Mike and I are on the way to find the ring. He knows right where its at. Sure! Well no luck with right where its at so I expanded the search grid and within five minutes up comes the 14k gold band in my basket. Sure makes for a feel good day.( OK Rodie I will put up a pic as soon as I get over to take one with her with it, so don't ask)

This was a 1998 Indiana University MBA Class Ring. Lost 4 months on a very popular bike/walking trail! Was still on the surface when I found it! Ring #14 this year. Gold ring #3!

14 grams 10K white gold! Nickel on my Ace250!
