Got a zincoln and a Canadian dime today, both 2009.

Christmas comes again today with my Smith's contact playing Santa. Highlight was my oldest foreign of the year.

Coinstar and Found on Ground totals for the year, $31.18 including a silver dime and 1 wheat. $.76 Canadian and other world coins / tokens

First time finding anything at a Coinstar. Went to Walmart in the evening, and found an epic hoard:

1 1980 Canadian quarter
1 2010 dime
2 obliterated Lincoln cents
1 button

unable to retrieve , saw a gent throw away a Canadian dime and quarter.

I did get a nickel, the edge was 'rolled' ie thickened.

First score of the year from my Smith's source. Small, but something's better than nothing.

Which is where I was for about 30 mins, checking out every country that might have Arabic writing on its coins. WCG gets better and better every time I visit. Always some cool new feature.

Found a zinc at the Wal-Mart coin star of a neighboring town. Not much - but beats the nothing I've been coming up with most the time in recent months.

Coinstar cat food run today. How do people miss the rejects on this machine? The bin on the Penny Arcades is at ankle level, so I get that some users would walk away without knowing; but on the Coinstar the reject tray is waist high. I saw these coins from 10 feet away as I left the store.

two elongated pennies from sea world, a half dozen tokens... peter piper pizza , car wash, unknown. a $100 mex from 1950, 5c mex 1959, a quarter, a dime stuck to a penny, a nickels, three pennies.

to say I was surprised a t the amount in the reject , when it is unually one coin.

US 49¢ in dimes, nickels and cents were left in the dump tray and/or wedged in the gap that leads to the counter. I happily rescued them.
