I've been SCROOGED and GRINCHED

Half Box #189 and Half Box #190 - Skunks, Nada, Zip.

Then to slap me around some and make me nauseous this guy shows up in the last.

My eyes are still burning.

At least I do have the pleasure of knowing some idiot paid an outrageous price for it only to spend it on a blunt for their crack rock later.

SO I AM NOT SURE OF 'DOUBLE POSTS ETC'. AS I ONLY HAD 230 BY MY RECORDS, AND YOU HAVE ALREADY CREDITED ME WITH 232. I CANNOT IMAGINE HOW YOU COULD KEEP US ALL STRAIGHT.

SO, YET AGAIN, A PROFOUND , THANK YOU.

Thanks... I try to be accurate, but sometimes the data is a little off. :)

For 2010, I have ya down searching $30900.30 nickels and finding 2 V-Nicks, 20 Buffalos, and 240 War Nicks. That's a lot a nickels you've searched...

Within an Excel file, I use a worksheet to enter monthly data from each person's posts; it has column tables for easy sorting. Each month I create a new empty worksheet to collect the month's data. I have other worksheets that automatically summarize the state and yearly data by collecting the data from all of the monthly worksheets using conditional array formulas; no hand calculation necessary. Finally, I have an output worksheet that summarizes the data and then I copy it and paste into the first post of the thread. Hand pasting sorted monthly, yearly, and state data into the output worksheet takes the most time.

The cool thing was at one bank, I only had $100. Teller says she has a bag w/ $429. She was nice and counted out $100 for me, in which were 3 90% Kennedys! Needless to say, I dumped immediately, scrounged up another $200+, and went back. This time I took her a little bag of Christmas candy to say "thanks for being a dear and counting out those coins... and by the way, could I get the rest of that bag?;-)"

All the silver was in that one bag.

WELCOME!!! :)

In what state do you find your SILVER?

Also, the teller had some loose halves in her drawer and I asked to have look at them. She got them for me and in the pile was a 40% 1967. How do you calculate that, Country? I didn't buy the whole pile, just cherry picked the silver...

I count them the same way you find a SILVER dime in change. One coin searched, one SILVER coin found.

However, I would suggest you take all the halves when you get them from tellers. No sense letting the tellers understand what we are doing. Why, they might just start pulling those SILVERs for themselves, as many tellers already do.... ;)

That's the last of that batch and I'm not sorry to see to go. Hopefully tomorrow's batch will not be from the same cursed pallet.

BTW - does anyone happen to have any idea how many half boxes are usually on a full pallet?

Sometimes, I think it's a function of how many others, including yourself, are dumping back into the service company in bank $1000 bags. I would assume that the boxes are fresh made with halves that are dumped and bags on the pallet (if necessary). You may be getting some of your dumps re-boxed and delivered back to you.

As for what's on the pallet, I think it would be a pile of $1000 bags that are pulled when needed. I've never seen a pallet of bags, but I'd guess it could be $50000 worth easily. Perhaps, others will tell us how its done.

The latest SILVER stats for December have been posted. Look to the first post of this thread to get the details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update.

This will be the last update for December and 2010 until the final December update is posted on January 1, 2011.

$60 in CRW halves 1-1964.

I opened the first roll and it was on top. I thought I had struck it rich again. No such luck. Still happy for the silver I did get.
