$3.76 canadian at 2 stops yesterday.

Also scored a US 1963 half and a 1968 !!! :D :D :D :D Well, had to pay 50 cents each for them, but please don't take that as a complaint.

Free Canadian is a rarity for me even in Wisconsin. Scored a little today though.

I was dumping $1,000.00 in dimes and gave a lady with two small bags of mixed coin skips in line. Teller ran her stuff and brought back some foreign. Customer told her to throw it away. She did but when I got my turn I had her fish it out.

$1.35 CAD.

One nickel quarter, two steel quarters. Two nickel dimes and three steel dimes. Finally two steel nickels.

Added bonus was two 5 cent Euros.

Fun times,

Jeff

That works

I still don't know where all the Canadian coin comes from. It's not like people are walking around CT saying they just got back from Montreal.

They might be saying. "Nous venons de rentrer de Montréal." And your not picking that up.

Back in the saddle, $1.10 plus 3 steelies and... a 1960 washington quarter that flung itself into the reject tray when I turned the machine on :) (very unusual find for me)

From the same run of ten branches, Thurs & Sat

40.35 & 1.17 US

At one point today I bought 8 rolls of bank wrapped dimes at Liberty Bank so I'd have something to dump at the next TD. I like dimes for this purpose...they're quick and easy to edge sort at traffic lights. Two of the rolls had 2 silver Roosies, and one had 4  So I drove back and bought another $50 face, but no more of the shiny stuff. I did place an order there for a box of dimes to come in on Wed, just in case their coin supplier has a hot batch.

Also found out that my own credit union is supposedly taking canadian coin at 100% of face. One of the girls told me yesterday a guy came in with $44 rolled Canadian...clearly marked "Canada"...and the manager told her the bank was no longer being charged back for Canada coin. I'm going to follow up on that in a couple weeks to see if that sailed through without a fee.

Interesting though.

Today we had no coins to dump. So we sinned and dumped $5 of pennies than only had the wheat puller but still had copper in it. Glad we did Franklin found this 1924 nickel in the counter its only problem is a small stain were "DEI" is.
