I'm the president of the Coil and Diggers club of Lane county Oregon, at least till next months elections.
I'm stepping down, it's time for someone else to take the reigns for a while....
I havent kept total track of what I've found this month but I know I've found 6 rings, 2 of them silver. 1 silver cross, about a half dozen wheat cents, the oldest being 1925. 1 1923 merc, and my best find of the month so far is a 1903 Barber dime, my first Barber coin.
I've also found about $20 - $25 in modern pocket change this month, half a dozen keys, and a couple of pendants (non-silver).
And I use a Whites MXT in case anyone cares...

Didn't he just have a recent UK trip. I saw on another board where a guy just got back from an outing that sounded alot like Ron's trips to the UK. Have you seen the youtube vifdeo about all of the gold he's fished out of Lake Michigan's beaches?

White's or Garrett both make entry level machines. I have owned both but have a preference to White's.

Are you in the Beaver state coinshooters club? We've been meaning to crash one of their meetings sometime.

I found my new oldest coin today, it's a 1676 coin and I think it's from the Netherlands...still trying to get enough detail to verify the denomination. I'm afraid to clean it too much and lose detail.
