rrmmffff. No one said anything about my 1861 dime. I thought it was a nice find. This is the 3rd seated liberty dime I have found in the wild over the past 5 years of low to moderate dime searching. First was an 1854 love-coin in very good condition, second a very slick 1870's dime, and this 1861 in poor-ish condition. finding these older coins adds a little interest to the search.

Nice find. I was just skimming and I was thinking 1961 and did not catch the "8". That is really cool. I have never found a dime older than Merc. in a roll.

I noticed your post of 1861 and thought it was a typo at firdt...then I thought no I'm sure he meant 1861...I started researching 1861 seated dimes and didnt post a congratulations. Sorry about that. A big congratulations is in order. Great find. Best I have found is a 1912d barber in xf condition.
