Got out for my third testing of the CTX3030. I had some issues with a very trashy park. My goal was to find the depth of any old wheaties that might be left over from the other hunters. Well it didn't work out. TONS of trash to work through.

I did find one cool relic. A cylinder from an older revovler. I thought it was a toy cap gun piece at first. Pictures later.

OK, had to get out again and try to get more comfortable with this new machine. I was on the hunt for wheats. I wanted to see how deep they were so I would concentrate at this level for silver. Well it didn't work out. I had a park that goes back to the 30's. I got lots of targets, tons of iron signals, and my share of nails. But I did find 2 interesting things.

Now I will need some help with the gun cylinder I found. I couldn't find a match to it online last night.

And the other thing I found in the woods of this park was a white, kinda two toned, marble. I'm told some of these marbles are worth some cash???

And here is a shot of what came home with me. All the rest of the can slaw and nails went into the garbage can at the park. I'm digging and learning!

6 quarters
5 dimes
5 pennies

16 coins for $2.05:D

1 rifle cartrige for the brass pile, too!

I just got into metal detecting last summer. Picked up a little Garrett Ace 250. My best find so far is this 1920 Merc. The best part of this find was WHERE I found it, on my old mans farm  Also found a very old wagon axle near it.

I had a nice afternoon to detect with pleasant temps (low 60's maybe).

Found .33 cents (1 quarter and 8 pennies (1 cu)), 1 wheel weight and another piece I'm not sure what it did in life. I'll try to post a pic to help ID.

Still searching for the first wheat and 90%.
