Visited a credit union I have not been to in a long time

$50 CWR Quarters - skunk not even any US
$50 Dimes - machine wrapped from Mint contracted facility. Not even going to check them
$100 Nickels - $20 RCM wrapped 2015, $20 Mint contractor sorted, $60 CWR With 75 Ni Nickels and a single US nickel.
But as I walk in I see a teller depositing some money with another teller from a client so I buy the following Canadian bills:
$1 1954 x2, (these two could be $50-$100 each) 1967x2 crisp unfolded (3 generations back)
$1 1973 worn and torn (2 generations back)
$2 1954 x10 various conditions (3 generations back)
$5 1954 good circulated (3 generations back)
$20 1954 good circulated
$20 1969 x3 good circulated (matches the 1970's notes)
$2 1974 good circulated (2 generations before toonie)
$2 1986 x21 mostly crisp uncirculated, some consecutive serial number pairs (last generation before toonie)

I never think to ask for older bills, I think I'm going to start asking.

The fun continues. Dumped some coin at a TD and asked for anything unusual. They sold me a 2014 $100 for $100 silver coin with an eagle on it (proving you can exchange these coins for paper money, and I missed buying that one) and tle me to come back tomorrow to buy a few old $1 and $2 bills and get this - 2 x $1000 Canadian bills! I've never had a $1000 bill before. That should be worth a premium to someone.

Picked up $50 in dimes that were sorted for the mint and not worth opening, and 13 rolls of pennies that look good. 1947 Wheat on end of one roll

More dumps from black mark guy, this time on most of a box of nickels. Rest of nickels are giving me typical low pure Ni and US yield.
Old $1, old $2 and two old $1000 bills picked up successfully.
$350 Canadian dimes CWR Silver! 1940, 1955, 1962, 1967.
$190 in Canadian Qtra yeilded zero US, zero silver, but I clearly got PART of a coin collection for I found:

4 full rolls (CWR but mint state with sharp serenaded edges) 1867-1992 Provincial Quarters - BC, NS, NB and Sask (1 solid roll each). These were part of the inspiration for the US State Qtrs program, I very rarely see circulated versions of these coins. I tried to make a set once and never did find some of them after a concerted effort, Look like this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/like/13171638808 ... ue&viphx=1

SCORE: old person brought in his dead father's coin collection! Acquired for face after the teller said 'we had some silver come in, do you want it?' Of course what she thought was silver was mostly nickel, but I scored:

1. Full Rolls of 1967 nickels plus some 1968 nickels. These are in various vintage bank wrappers some of which are still machine rolled on both ends. I've seen stuff like this on eBay where people claim they have not searched but bought this collection blah blah. I'll run a similar auction one of these days. These will nicely top off my box of rolled older nickels.

2. 1968 and 1969 strips of RCM individually blister packed Nickel dollars ($50 worth)
3. $76 assorted loose Canadian nickel dollars and halves (various dates) and
4. 12 x $1 1971 Canada BC 100 years in Confederation 50% silver dollars. They are not in the origional packaging, and over 500,000 were produced so not rare, but each has .375 ASW = 4.5 Troy Ounces of bullion for $12 Canadian.
Look like this but with pretty toning: http://www.londoncoincentreinc.com/cana ... llar-coin/

The $100 of CWR Quarters was a skunk and the 15 rolls of dimes produced 7 US dimes and a shiny 1984 Burmuda 10 cent coin for my coin garden. $20 of nickels produced 31 Ni (3 older, but nothing great) and zero US.

$138 bag of halves=

1 - 1954 :D
1 - 1962 :D
4 - 1967 :D
4 - 1968 :D
3 - 1969 :D

And the randomness that was also in that bag includes:

2 each 50 Pence British
1 each L.100 Italiana
1 each 2 Francs
1 each 25 Pesos Dominicana
1 each 50 Colones
1 each Un Peso
1 each Thomas Jefferson $1

$3.07 in pennies, dimes, and quarters
1 each 96-97 Pinnacle Mint Jaromir Jagr coin

And 2 random keys....
At least it was an interesting sort!
