1 box of halves---1991-S impaired proof with a smooth edge, this coin looks as if it was ran thru a slot machine for years.

1 box of dimes--no silver, but I did find a 1993 10 centavos from Argentina.

Went in to order a box of halves and the main teller said they had 100 dollars worth a customer had brought in...my eyes popped when they set that coin lok bag on the counter in front of me....and the clink of silver was unmistakable :P I could see 2 franklins right off the bat :D well I waited until the kids got home from school to cut the bag open and sort with the kids (our last 4 halves boxes were skunks so they needed a good bag like this to keep em interested ) The results:
45 40%
30 90%
Heres the breakdown on the 90%ers..
1 VF/EF 1925 Stone Mountain Commem
5 Walkers (worn 40s)
15 Franklins (best choice bu 1951)
9 1964 JFKs
Unbelievable! but true!Im back in for halves!Keep on searchin! ;)

Fantastic Coppercrazy. That's the kind of thing that makes up for the skunks.

My evening was nothing like that, but I'll take it over a skunk anytime.

Half Box #100 - first milestone of the year.

1 1965
2 1967
1 1968D

1 1964

1 1934 Walker

If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

5-75S

6-92S

8-2000S

Wild box and the only one I got with that date.

I'm confused, as usual. ;) I thought all nickels of this date range have the mint mark on them. Does your MM's refer to something other than Mint Mark?

Thanks.

Hmm, might have included the 2002's, I will have to look when I got the chance, I didn't spend too much time with them. I got a lot of coins to deal with and not much time to dawdle. An error obiously but I have to look to find out what I was thinking. Something in the new batch didn't (have MM's) and there were coins on either side of that range I kept. They were really nice for some reason, amazingly bright.

I keep new rolls from the bank and they don't look this good.

No proof coins were minted by the US Mint during 1965-1967. However, they did issue Special Mint Sets (SMS) during these years.
