Yeah, I need to do a person-by-person update. Soon. I just got back from a week of church camp.

I have two stops where the half bag is always in the way. On purpose? In one branch I think so.

I ask whoever's shift supervisor if they can unlock the door..."I heard some of coins land in the chute..." Usually works out.

10.97 & .02 US

2 silver Roosies

I checked again with my credit union and was given the ok to bring in my rolled Canadian...so we'll see if that comes off as planned on Saturday.

Ironic that a small, two branch CU hundreds of miles from the border will exchange the Queen's coin at full face, while a mega multi national with the words Toronto Dominion in it's name won't :D

A TD Bank where I buy my dime boxes from always saves me and my sons their foreign coin from the Penny Arcade. Yesterday, she asked if I collect Canadian, and I said, "Absolutely".

8.91 haul, with no loonie or twoonies.

15.73 & 77.38 US

The bulk of the US came from two machines...reject tubes were flat & full...must've been backing up for days.

21.61 from one tube, and 49.21 from another machine. The manager scooped them out and nearly filled my coffee can.

Funny thing...not a single silver coin in either batch.

Also found a cool Tecumseh Canada quarter. BU, first one I've seen.

Odd part is the coins weren't damaged either. The whole point of the reject function is to weed out silver, gold, plastic, bent, underweight, or otherwise unrecognizable denominations. With a couple exceptions, these coins...mostly quarters...were fine.

I don't know if they were counted and then sent to reject, or rejected simply because a bag was full and Penny failed to alert. In both cases it was the manager on duty who handed them over to me, so my conscience is clear. And I donated again to their Special Olympics fund to stay on Karma's good side ;)

But it got me thinking about the day this all comes to an end, and it surely must.
