Last couple days:

Stop 1: $0.25
Stop 2: $0.10
Stop 3: skunk
Stop 4: $6.10! - plus a huge handful of other foreign, tokens, and bent US coin & a nice tombac nickel too. Ka-Ching.

Stop 4 ALWAYS as the reject chute blocked by the half dollar bag. I wish I could go more often, but I just can't justify the extra mileage. Was there yesterday for the surrounding shopping so it worked out. It was only a $10 dump so after it was all said and done I walked out with more $ in change than I walked in with. Plus a $10 bill. Almost feel bad, but I guess it's better in my stash than Gardas.

When you it big it's a score!

I've found it to be like that for me but with lower numbers and less often. I've had a very happy stop if I hit $1.50 or more, and scores of $2 or $3 do happen but are rare for me. IIRC my all time high was $4+ and that was due to a looney and a twoney in the mix. If I hit $6-7 I'm not sure what I'd do with myself! ;)

A toonie was involved. That helps. What also helps is that half bag blocking the rejects. This place never cleans the magnets and so much stuff get built up that the canadian stuff starts making it's way into the machine, but then gets rejected. So probably half of this was on the magnet and the other half on the blocked reject chute. I did not think it was a good idea to bust out and count it there for a magnet/chute breakdown   I just shove it all in my pocket and get in line. I have had a funny look or two, but no one has ever said anything to me about "stripping the machine" at this branch 8-)

I FINALLY UPDATED THE TOTALS!

MORSECODE, our all-time leader, hasn't reported any findings since July 8th! He mentioned 4 skunks later that month, but hasn't had any further news since. Anyone know what happened?

Also, we had two "$100 milestones" last month:
HENRYSMEDFORD surpassed $200 on November 3rd.
NHSORTER surpassed $100 on November 29th. Actually, with his Nov 29th post, he had a total of $99.99, but I bet there's a Canadian penny sitting SOMEWHERE he didn't report this year.
Expecting that 68camaro will reach that milestone soon. He has reported more OFTEN than anyone else in this thread.

2012 TOTAL: Since starting this thread in January, 20 sorters have reported a cumulative total of $828.18. Any more hits for this year? How long do you think it will take for us to top $1000? I suppose if MORSECODE would have kept up the levels he was reporting in the first half of the year, we would have made it a good while ago!

You guys are lucky as there is no TD banks around here. I find a occcasional canadian coin in coinstar returns.

Just a reminder, I buy canadian coin for 90 cents on the dollar shipped to me.

I had no idea how well some of us would do on this. I've started a new thread for the new year. It will continue on with the amounts already found.
