$1.20 today, including the .60 mentioned below

So I go to dump $32.50 in zinc today at what has lately been the most lucrative machine on my route. I press "Count", and before I even dump any coin in the hopper I hear what sounds like a lot of coin going through the counter. Figured I was in for a little extra :D

Ended up with a trifecta: bonus American coin, .60 Canadian off the magnet, & a buffalo nickel out of the reject tray

Wow, missed this post. Someone lost out. But my view is that if they don't have some basic idea of what they are sticking in the thing they shouldn't be using it. Good score!

A paltry 20 cents today. Pickin's have been slim down here lately. I think the tellers have gotten smarted to clean off the magnets during their thrice daily check.

Yeah, no doubt. A very few around here have wised up, too. Although I'm told by my best tellers that management does not allow them to keep any extra money...whether from the machine, or found on the floor. The theory being that once they get accustomed to it they'd be more easily corruptible, and start seeing "extra" cash everywhere.

As to the big score last week - here's what had to happen: a customer dumped a significant amount of coin into the slide (enough so that $20 wouldn't be missed). All the coin is in the spin cycle when Penny announces a bag is filled. After changing out the bag(s), the teller asked the customer if they had any more coin. No?...ok, hit "END"

Whereas those in the know always press "COUNT" after a changed bag.

I need to start checking into this more because I have no idea how to get in on this. I'm finding quite a few extra canadians in an ordinary loomis bank box tonight, two rolls with three each, and one with two for sure, more than usual. I guess I thought the machines in WI did not sift canadians out since I find them in rolls.

4.76 from one machine this afternoon. Always amazes me that people put Canadian dollar coins through the thing. And then not notice they're missing from the payout slip

Not much canadian here, however we get a lot of other foreign coin....last Saturday there was $3.68 US that had not gone through the counter and additional $2.18 in the trash bin under the top of the counter plus euros and a cool 1985 CCCP bronze.

I'm so jealous! ;)

A whopping .10 yesterday - couldn't get to the bank today. Hopefully tomorrow there will be some pent-up stuff on the magnets, if they don't clean them before I get there...
