That's over 41% copper not including the wheats and Canadians!!! Fantastic box....

I suggest you step up your sorting, maybe buy a Ryedale and start selling the coppers.... Your percentage in boxes far exceeds anyone else. :o

Don't understand... 40 1982s included in the 586 coppers? Why 40 out of 63?

5,000 sorted. Counted by the roll so the numbers are not exact but close. 1100 copper, 100-1982 Zn & Cu, 100 Canadian Copper all 1996 and pre. Including a '39 Rex (I'm close to the border not far from Syracuse, NY). 12 wheaties, best was a '28-S.

$25 CWR pennys

500ish copper (I only count the ones I return)
2018 zinc returned
12 Wheat (1940 is the earliest)
4 Canadian (1 of which was a dove)
12 Ugly Abes - zinc
2 dimes

I bought a second box of pennies, but It is all 2010. It is available in the Auction Area if your interested. Does that kill my stats, or does it not count because I did not open and search each roll?

You guys are getting a little too isshy!! You need to go to rehab and get in touch with your COPPERs emotionally. My professional recommendation: some sensitivity training. Your COPPERs get lonely when each each and every one of them is not touched and counted as they become full members of your stash. ;)

I'll let you slide as long as your did not open any rolls. :?

Given your numbers: 2500 pennies - 2018 returned - 12 wheat - 4 Canadian = 466 coppers (non-wheat/non-Canadian).

When I count Ugly Abes, they are ALL copper pennies which don't make the grade as nice clean coppers. I roll all these up together and when I get 50 rolls, I tape a $25 box of them and mark the box "Ugly Abes". Gotta keep the ugly ones away from the good guys as they can be a bad influence because they are bad boys.

A '39 REX is nice find.... In fact, I think any REX Canadian COPPER found these days is a nice find.

It's OK to count by the roll this time, but next time add in the leftovers and then you will have an exact count to report.

When I tabulate the 1982s, it's only the COPPER 1982s that count in the stats. :)

The only reason I mentioned the ugly abes was they were too ugly/sticky to send thru the coin counter at the bank.

I figured that the pennies in the sealed box were maybe slightly more valuable than opened box and rolls. All I can see is one end of the BWRolls, which all show shiny 2010 Shield cents.

A cousin I had not seen for over 2 years visited me from out-of-state and knew I sorted coins and he surprised me by bringing his 10 year accumulation of coins for me to search.
Container included $ 25.82 in pennies with nice results:

1002 1/10 toz .950 fine US coined Copper Bullion (38.8%)
13 Wheats ('35, '36D, '37D, rest 40-50s)

$25 Brinks box today

12 Wheats - (1918, 1928, 1936D - rest common 40's & 50's)
8 - 1959 (I save these and roll them and sell them)
511 Coppers from 1960-1981 (22 really nice AU or better from 62-76 - also put aside for AU-BU rolls).

18 Canadian, including a 1951 and a 1955.

and a rarity for a brinks box - one 1999 dime. That almost never happens with the Brinks boxes.

Hi,

This thread is only for handsorting tracking.

Did you handsort these boxes or run them through your Ryedale? :?
