HIGHLIGHTS OF November's SILVER SEARCHING:
November half searching was about $42000 less than October. In addition, the most SILVER halves this year was found in November, 3% more than October. $202,932 halves were searched, and 1808 SILVER halves were found. 4.45 SILVER halves per box on average were found. Also, of the 400 half boxes searched, only 154 of them were SKUNKS, easily the best positive ratio of the year for productive boxes. War Nicks found (15) was 24 less than in October and the lowest reported in over 2 years; there were 300 SILVER dimes found (48 more than in October); and 4 SILVER quarters were discovered in the wild. BamaJoe had the best reported $500 box in November with 64 SILVER halves. Of all the $1000 half bags searched, AGCoinHunter found the most, 4 SILVER halves in a bag in November. adamsp27 found 36 SILVER dimes in a $250 box of dimes, the most for November. appjoe found 3 War Nicks in a $100 box of nickels, the best box for November.
On the leadership boards: CardsNCoins found the most SILVER halves (743), besting db23 who had 701. adamsp27 found 137 SILVER dimes, besting db23 who was second with 69 of them. appjoe was the best at finding War Nicks, finding 8 during November, far exceeding Dano who had 3.
Other highlights are as follows:
11/1 - CardNCoins gets a swarm of SILVER in his half boxes: 22, 14, 21, 12, 19, 26, 12, and 17 SILVER boxes.
11/2 - CardNCoins gets another swarm of SILVER in his half boxes, including 19, 31, 17, 13, and 27 SILVER boxes.
11/3 - Dano finds a 1960-D SILVER dime on the ground at WalMart!
11/3 - db23 gets a 23 SILVER half box, including a 1970-D 40%er.
11/4 - db23 gets his swarm of SILVER in his half boxes: 19, 37, 63, and 34 SILVER boxes.
11/6 - adamsp37 finds the best dime box of the month, with 36 SILVER dimes.
11/11 - adamsp37 gets another 18 SILVER dimes in 8 boxes of dimes.
11/11 - CardsNCoins gets a 25 SILVER box, including 3 Walkers.
11/16 - BamaJoe finds the best half box of the month, with 64 SILVERs.
11/16 - CardsNCoins gets another swarm of SILVER in his half boxes, including two 20, and a 40 SILVER box.
11/17 - db23 gets a 44 SILVER half box.
11/18 - CardsNCoins gets an unbelievable half box with 30 SILVERs, including 19 Walkers and 5 Franklins; and another half box with 5 Walkers.
11/18 - appjoe gets 3 War Nicks in a box, best for the month of November.
11/19 - BamaJoe gets a 38 SILVER half box.
11/19 - db23 finds 12 SILVER Rosevelt dimes in a box of dimes.
11/26 - adamsp37 collects 17 SILVER dimes in 9 boxes of dimes.
11/30 - Greatwun finds 5 SILVER dimes in a box of dimes, the most for him.

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2011 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2011 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.
It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.
