It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2012 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2012 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

$55 loose halves today (Nov. 1st)

1 40% er ('69d).

While picking up the box of dimes above, the teller told me how another teller had some rolls of dimes and nickels that she was saving for me. I went back later and picked up 4.00 cwr nickels and 25.00 cwr dimes.

Skunk on the nickels, BUT... The dimes produced 8 silver roosies and 1 80% Canadian! Not a bad haul on 5 rolls.

The story was that an older lady had dropped them off to cash them in. My first thought was about Thoegy's "old lady" comments from a different thread, but I think that wasn't the case.

while dumping today, I spotted silver in the teller tray. I got some odd looks dumping $1000 in halves then asking to buy the two out of the teller tray.

Just did 1 full box, got shorted by bank one box this week. This was still a fun box. $5 in AU 1972, $10 in AU 76, $1 or more each of every single year between 2002-2011, and a 1957 British Caribbean 2 cent piece (1,250,000) mintage, I don't usually find much AU/BU halves, not this much in one box, very unique box, don't ever remember getting one quite like this. No silver..
