It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2013 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2013 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!

Quick question should I get bank rolls of customer rolls??? All bank so far and nothing. I heard the sort out the silver. Is this true and should I switch to customer rolls?

Get what you can. Its the tellers that sort the silver out. But most do not. There is a better chance in scoring silver in the CWR's except the rollls with an X marked on them. But get what you can and start searching.

Grabbed a box of dimes Monday.......skunk......

Avoid those customer wrapped bank rolls.. those are the worst. If it is a machine wrapped roll that is crimped on one end and manually closed on the other you can be pretty sure it is from another sorter that did not even both to change the paper.. especially if there are a lot of them.

One of my tellers sorts out the silver.. then tells me what is in the rolls. In December he hooked me up with a batch of 23 rolls that had 90 40%s in it.

5 rolls were skunkage but did get a 40% Ike!! Wohhooohohoho first silver.

5 rolls of nothing!!!

Bad news - Bank called and said they only ordered 2 boxes instead of 4.

Worse news - The 2 boxes I picked up from them were very silvery.

Got some great boxes this week. Haven't ran into any like this in a while. Sure helps the averages Hoping this is a start of a good vein.

Yeah I keep them to so far I have 18 out of 56 rolls.

Found a 1983 P quarter! Aren't those rare?

Nope, Not rare. However in MS state they are valuable. No Mint sets were issued by any of the mints in '82 & '83 so those coins are more valuable than face if the condition is AU-Mint State. Keep looking.
