HIGHLIGHTS OF NOVEMBER'S SILVER SEARCHING:

LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY THE SILVER STATS IN 2013. I WILL HELP YA' GET SET UP, BUT IT'S A BIT MUCH FOR ME THESE DAYS. SEND ME A PM, IF INTERESTED. (I WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THE COPPER STATS.) IF NOT, EVEN WITHOUT THE STATS, I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THE MONTHLY THREAD FOR ALL TO POST.

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2013 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2013 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!

today in 30$ bwr nickels... my first of the year.... v nickel

3rd time straight for this happening, and I was on such a nice roll of finds from a local bank.

Searched some nickels - found a 1942 - but not a "war" nickel. Bummer.....

That 1942 non silver might be a semi- key. I think the 1942d. It might be 1942s. I am not sure. You can look it up to see for sure.

$100 in dimes 1941 Mercury and a 1959 not bad.
Also I got my bank to order $1000 in half dollars there coming in on Friday so hopefully I can get some silver.

Bought one roll of quarters for the laundromat...

$90 in dimes gets a 1965 Canadian now I'm up to two silver Canadian dimes. Can't wait till Friday to get those half dollars!

$200 out of the $1000 in halfs I got no silver a 2005-S Proof and 6 NFIC are those worth keeping?

I don't. I don't save the proof ones either. I see so many over the period of a year and they are circulated, they are no longer in BU condition. I am after the silver! That's why I search! There is no numismatic value to a circulated proof or a circulated NIFC. Are they nice looking coins? Sure, but they have no market. When I want to save some CuNi...I save nickels. Best bang for your buck. 10 ugly nickels are worth more than either one of those halves.
