HIGHLIGHTS OF JANUARY'S SILVER SEARCHING:

LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY THE SILVER STATS IN 2014. I WILL HELP YA' GET SET UP, BUT IT'S A BIT MUCH FOR ME THESE DAYS. SEND ME A PM, IF INTERESTED. It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2013 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2013 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Mondays box of dimes yielded ........ 3 x 64!!!

$10 nickels - zip (silver), a few pre '64s

$60 dimes (BWR) - found 3, 2 definite 1964, the third I believe is a '64 - the last didgit is partly obscured by crud. All three coins look like they could have been metal detector finds. Weighed all 3, they are 2-3 100th grams of the prescribed silver dime weight (2.5 grams). All three soaking in acetone at this time.

Also found whats left of a penny in one of the rolls...
