HIGHLIGHTS OF APRIL'S SILVER SEARCHING:

LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY THE SILVER STATS IN 2014. I WILL HELP YA' GET SET UP, BUT IT'S A BIT MUCH FOR ME THESE DAYS. SEND ME A PM, IF INTERESTED. (I WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THE COPPER STATS.) IF NOT, EVEN WITHOUT THE STATS, I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THE MONTHLY THREAD FOR ALL TO POST.

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2013 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2013 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!

Thanks Saabman. I think I got someone's collection mixed in there. There were a lot of bicentennial halves in the mix too but those weren't silver.

50.00 BWR dime s= skunk.

Monday's box of halves yielded..... 1 x 67! Plus three of those gold plated bicentennial's........I keep 'em for the nephew.

250.00 BWR dimes = 1961 roosie
100.00 BWR nickels = 1945-S

Went to an occasional pickup bank today. Asked for halves and was told they had 100.00 out and 400 in the vault. When I said I'd buy the 100.00 I was told "a collector brought these in; he has already gone through them!" I was already committed, so I took them along with 100.00 in CWR dimes, with the same markings as the half dollar rolls.


Always buy whatever you can get!

1967, 1968-D, 1969-D 40% halves and 1950-D & 1960 Roosies! Not bad for rolls supposedly gone through already.

Oh, yeah I'll be picking up the other 400.00 on Friday.
Looks like the 1969-D is also a Machine Double Die on the obverse too!

The head teller at my pick up bank asked if I could help her out by taking some quarters that some business had deposited, "sure" I said just to be nice, so..........$500.00 in cwr's.........skunk.......As CnC pointed out not long ago....."quarters aren't for the faint of heart".......

By my tally......one pre-65 quarter in searching nearly $2,500.00 worth of quarters this year.......

EDIT: Just dumped the quarters.....$5.50 over!!!!
