So I'm a few posts behind but I felt that this one was necessary to get into the thread. Nothing overwhelming or spectacular, just out of the ordinary and neat. Went through a box of halves and found 3 40%, a 1966, 1967, and 1969. The neat part of this box was the 1900, 1907, 1912, and 1913!!! These kinds of finds are what make this worth it!

1913-P Barber half? That is a nice date!

150.00 bwr halves = skunk

95.00 dimes = skunk
But, at one of my pickup banks, the teller told me she had 74.00 in halves for me!
As she is handing them over to me she informs me that the "old man" who brought them in, told her there were no old/valuable ones. As she is telling me this I pick up a roll that says on it:"1967, 40% silver clad".

All the other rolls were solid 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976!
This one was solid silver! 1965x2, 1966x2, 1967x7, 1968-Dx5, 1969-Dx4

Always take all the halves you can get!!!

Friday's box of halves yieled 1 x 65, 1 x 66, 1 x 67, and.........1 x 70!!!!

Nice score on the 70! It took me a long time to find one of those in circulation.

Thanks! That's only my second or third in about 5 years of crh'ing.

250.00 BWR dimes = skunk
100.00 BWR nickels = 1913 type2 buffalo ( had to nik-a-date it)
27.00 loose halves = 5 40% kennedys
1966 80% Canadian dime from change at the hardware store!

Thanks Saabman. Two weeks in a row I was fortunate to come across some good batches of halves that a customer or customers turned in at the same branch. The foreign coins mixed in were unexpected but all those 40% halves more than make up for it.

Stopped at one bank in Michigan and scored big!!
$280 CWR and walked away with $64.50 in 40% and $3.50 in 90%'s!!

The Chase I deposited them at said they've had box orderERS in the past. I told them maybe we would order some this winter.
But I'm not really a fan of Machine wrapped halves. Usually a lot of work with minimal reward. But you can't win if you aren't playing....so, we'll see.

100.00 BWR nickels = 1943-P war nickel

$10 roll of halves = skunk

250.00 BWR Dimes = skunk.

Then to the good bag....Stopped in a bank that one of the tellers just dumped $600 of halves at. They belonged to her recently deceased father-in-law.
