I pulled a couple of old boxes from 2011 that have been in the closet for a while. The copper percentages are better than what I get from recent pickups.

That could be a factor for some, but also money market funds are finally starting to pay something.
I remember in 2015 when mine paid 1/100th of one percent. Now it pays 1.88% (188 times as much). It should be over 2% by the end of the year with the Feds likely to raise rates two more times before 2019. That is nothing compared to what it used to be, but it does create some incentive for coin people to go through their boxes and weed out the garbage.

I had to move much of my hoard recently and that exposed all of those older boxes and CWRs I had buried. I miss seeing the better copper percentages from years ago. Here are my results from another batch of CWRs from 2012.
