I deliver food part-time for UberEats and occasionally will ask restaurants if I can look at their tip jars. I assure them I’m not interested in dollar bills, only coins. I offer to pay double face value for anything I find.

Thursday evening I went into a late night pizza place and asked. The guy handed me the only 3 coins in the tip jar.

One of them was a roughly VF 1943-P steel cent. I’ll take it!

My CU Gave me ,,$80 pennies..person turned in ,$800. Both the dimes and quarters yielded silver. So I hope for a higher than average copper content.
