Got a total (yesterday) of $236.50 from 3 banks plus a convenience market.

Found one 40%er.

$100 in quarters...nada.

$47 in dollars from six banks today only yielded four Ikes.

My strategy lately has been to get as much as I can from non-account banks and to dump at my bank. Pretty good success in the first half of this year (approx $5500 searched) but at least three non-account banks have told me I've cleaned them out. Some bunches of coins were legitimately dusty! I do get stories about other people getting the goods before I got there, so there's competition. Maybe I'll take a month off to let the supply replenish.

That's just my small dollars total. It's the main thing I search from banks since I have no way to dump pennies, nickels or dimes, and I'm NOT re-rolling whole boxes of those. Quarters I bring home to search from the casino once a month or so, usually $100-$200 worth at a time. Those are easy to re-roll and bring to the bank, which they actually need. Halves I'll take if the banks offer. Since they're the most requested coin, banks are usually out of them or have very little. Those are easy to dump at the casino.

I can break down my small dollar finds later today if there's interest. It isn't sexy silver, but from a bare bones collector's standpoint it's fun as hell.

They had $100' s today.getting ready to ship them out.
My eyes got big. Said, I will take it all.

Agree that is a great find. I'd love to know the story about how that one got into a roll. Maybe a non-collector who had a medal with the coin in it and a survivor removed the coin to cash it in. Who knows...

$98 in small dollars from four banks today...skunked.

Slim pickins today. These were 95% Sacs and probably someone's dumps.

Went back to a bank I had a great score at two weeks ago (where I don't have an account) and they refused, saying the $200 they gave me the first time was a "courtesy" and told me to order from my own bank. I asked why, since another of their branches has provided about $2k to me. They said their manager tracks each transaction, so an acct is mandatory. Total BS since they sold to me before. I can understand a bank refusing 100% of the time, I'm disappointed but I honestly say thanks and move on. But this conflicting attitude wastes my time and really me off.
