Well, I lucked out today. Decided to stop at a bank last minute way out of town and ask for a box of cents. TD bank btw. Looked at change tray and saw what was a bunch of half dollars and Eisenhower dollars. Silver edge of one of the dollars stood out and I thought it was a 40% Eisenhower. Bought all the dollars and half dollars. Got my $25 box of cents too. Teller put the loose coins in an envelope. Get to the car and look through the coins and see that the silver coin is a Morgan dollar and I saw a Peace dollar too. Also got a '68 and a '69 Kennedy half dollar in the coins.

Out of $8.50 in half dollars and $7 in big dollars I got:

(1) - 1968 Kennedy

(1) - 1969 Kennedy

(1) - 1896 O Morgan dollar

(1) 1923 Peace Dollar

The dollar coins are non-ferrous and their weight each are 26.66 grams according to my scale, so within range. I'll assume they are real. Also, they are kind of dirty, not sure if tarnish or grime from years of sitting somewhere. Book value on them is not much about silver spot value so yeah, still ~ $70 roughly for the 4 coins above for a $3 purchase.

We all have heard about tellers handing out silver dollars like this. I really think that it was a collection turned in. I know a few weeks ago I pulled a bunch of teen Lincoln cents and a few 1909 VDBs from a coin counter return. They were sitting in the coin return slot. I was thinking after that about all the other wheat cents that made it though into the counter. These were probably underweight enough or something. So, a hunch is that coin collections are being turned in for the paper cash right now.

$190 dimes ..second roll, a 64. Super silvery rim.
1954 with a , slick rim, that made me look. Or I would not have caught it.

A cull that was so bad I looked to make sure it was a dime. 195 x popped out.
