These are convenient options for low volumes of CRTs. Assuming they don't have resale value, it's best to just pass them along to a company that recycles them properly. Most small e-recycling companies don't make money on CRTs, unless they're charging more to accept them than it costs to recycle them.

justicious:Dismantling CRTs for recycling is regulated in many states and also by the EPA. It's also dangerous, time consuming and counter-productive. While you'll get some good recyclable materials, you'll also have to pay to get rid of the tubes, which are hazardous waste.
