Dish Network dish - Worth anything? Taken away

Postby AuStruck » Wed Nov 25, 2015 3:02 pm

Just had roof replaced. Contractor asked what to do about the Dish Network dish. I originally paid for all equipment but after two or three years cancelled all service.

I told the contractor "take it off - It's mine". To my surprise his crew took the dish away. He was $1000 dollars cheaper than other bids. Sort of a friend.

Should I ask for it back?

Just junk. not hardly worth the effort to bend down and pick it up.

You can see them in the scrap yard shred heap.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

the LMB might be able to be resold http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=dish+network+lnb

some people use the dish to make a solar cooker

I've heard of people repurposing them to make point to point WI-FI bridges.

I've also heard of this being done with old 4 foot dishes as well.
