Holy cow, that’s a lot of motors. I think my scrap yard pays like .15
and that’s for copper windings. Aluminum motors are even worse.

Yes in many parts of the country motors don't get the pricing they deserve. They're heavy and expensive to transport. They are a usually an export item, so the closer you live to a major seaport, the better the pricing you'll get.

Another run to a local yard today. This wouldn't fit in the first load. It was mostly large ductwork that I needed to clean up because guests are coming over. It pays to shop around! Note the irony Al price is 1/3 the price of the other yard and lower than light iron!
