Does anyone have luck scrapping them? The one's I've looked at have a lot of solder in them.

Well solder is tin/lead and tin has been hitting new highs every day. If there is alot of it might be worth messing with. If not thow it in your elec motors pile.

ATX power supplies (intact and with wires attached) are actually very good material. Their copper content is only slightly lower than transformers.

However, it's harder to find places that will pay a good price for them. They're a more specialized item.

I found out this weekend that UPS units are worth 25 cents a pound at my yard.
Pedal to the metal.
