well, just a quick update on my progress. I'm not ready to invest in the $78 wire stripper on ebay, so I have started out with a $7 wire stripper from Walmart. What a task this is! I am probably making 5 cents an hour at this rate, but considering I am dipping my toe in the water and watching TV I am having fun. I do have some knicks from some rookie mistakes and my hands were a little sore, but like I said it has been fun.

I am having a hard time seeing how someone could live off this, but I suppose it could make for a nice source of additional income?

To make a living off scrap, you need larger quantities and faster processing. Most people scrap just to score a few extra bucks.

I hear ya. Finding the quantity is difficult and being able to process it is a challenge and time consuming. I do not even have a pound of copper wire yet.
