small trip to the yard today at lunch.... AL cans, a few pounds of copper and 30 lbs of scrap metal that I picked up off the side of the road.... got $27.00 took it to the bank then converted to Alcoa Stock..... this will make 78 shares.... looks like I am on glide path to hit 100 shares by the end of the year from what most people think is junk / trash.

Interesting project. How much commission do you pay every time you buy new shares?

I pay $1.00 I have been a member of Share Builder since around 2000. The plan I am on costs $12 a month is you purchase any stocks that month or not. That gets you 12 buys a month. every buy after that is an additional dollar. It is pretty cool.... It lets you purchase fractional shares. I make way over $144 a year in dividends (I roll them back in as DRIPs) so basically it is a free service.....

https://www.capitaloneinvesting.com/mai ... t.aspx#accIt is run by Capital One now... It has changed hands several times over the years. If you call them, they will set you up on the $12 dollar a month plan.
