29 units of small defective compressors w/ coils and housing attached. Went to shop prices- one place paid 6 cents a lb.; another paid 10 cents; a third paid 15 cents. Naturally I chose the 15 cent offer.

15 cents a pound x 519 # = $77.85 (so he gave me $78.00).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.

Just curious, how do you crush the cans? Also, do they give a better price for crushed cans than they pay for uncrushed in your area?

the 16 oz , i use a crusher from harbor freight. others, just by hand.

not worth the bonus she gives me. but... both trucks , full was 300. uncrushed would be less than100

I thought he would use this  Image

I use this Image as 16 oz and smaller fall into the trashcan under it, all other cans crush with a tamping tool on a handle Image

and a grabber to pick them up! Image

Lady died and family would not deal with 40 ft container of garbage. Filled big dumpster (our cost) and a pickup of misc metal $35, 5 appliances $45 plus two pickup trips to the electronics recycling (they take free). Reminds me not to to store junk.

Glad you got over a $ for those clean copper / alum raids price going up some! With as many as you turn in at a time I am sure you get a little better pricing on them.

For iron to go from $170/ton to $135/ton in just a few weeks is quite a move...

1140 lbs #1 steel @ $180/GT for $91.61

This was an industrial machine that I picked up for free and drove 10 miles to the scrapyard.

195 lbs THHN @ $1.50/lb for $292.50

I bought this partial roll of wire at a surplus outlet for $25. I'll be going back real soon!
