No it was $51.30 on the 5th and over $289 the day before.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.

How much is scrapyard copper nowadays?

I brought a very small load of mixed junk today...the guy pulls out a copper pipe from my batch to weigh it separately, I told him to forget it - just give me the light iron price for everything. I walked out with $4.00

Later in the day I looked at the slip and they gave me $1.75 for net 1 lb of copper #2 tubing (at $1.75 lb)

I guess I'm out of touch. :thumbup:

Dirty Al radiators are different from dirty ACR. They are modern auto radiators which are aluminum with plastic and steel frames/ends. Clean aluminum radiators go as mixed aluminum, $0.27/lb, so there is not much of a gain by cleaning them up.

On another scrap metal site i am on they were taking shred for free in las vegas and one yard will not take it at all. Better get rid of the rest of my stuff before it gets worse around here.
