For once a pleasant surprise. Alum pie, roaster. Cfs had said, shred at .04, called the this morning, closed a week. Tried Tucson iron, quoted 0.25 for clean aluminium. Guy that weighed it gave me their can price 0.40. So 10x .sweet.

What I gained yesterday was lost today. Had to have the truck un loaded.#560 tin cans, microwave full of plug ends, bulb's, Xmas trees. 80/ ton.lost%5.60
I knew better, should have just taken.,..sealed unit $0.10,#88 got$8.80. Lost 8.80 if I had waited for Monday's turn in… #47 elect motor @ 0.15 --7.05 lost $4.70.cat cans 4 barrels 49# @0.08 so lost$9.80.
Now I know why I stopped going to this place.
I lost more than i got paid.

Yard is still open. It gets municipal waste from the city so it's considered an essential service.

I only got 70% spot because it was very low concentration material, 8-30%.

Sign of the times.
Took in 5 pallets Wednesday got $2. Thurs took a load in from home....$1.50
From me, lost %25 income, overnight.

my sources aren't generating much scrap if any.
But at yesterdays price of only $40 a GT I d be basically losing money
Scarp yard has also reduces its hours 8-2 M-f (no sats now)

I tried to take a load in today. I got to the yard at 10AM and they had just shut down. The current plan is to be closed until April 20th.

$18 and change of scrap, mostly tin but some aluminium. Scrap yard has you hold up your licence at the window, the signature pad is outside. They open window a little and hand over cash. Fun times.
