Okay, so my washer broke and it would cost more to repair than it is worth. What parts, if any, should I remove before the Lowes guy gets here to deliver and pickup the old washer?

Well, that is where I am a novice, but I am determined to learn. The spin cycle will not work, it just makes a loud noise. I have the washer out now so I am going to take a hard look at it in the morning.
The first thing in fixing broken stuff. You can not mess it up any more then it already is. Meaning go to it and see if you can fix it, will not hurt to try.
