boardsort.com will buy the brown boards in these for .17 a pound if you collect a lot of it it would be worth it. Shipping is only problem if you live close good for you!

These are convenient options for low volumes of CRTs. Assuming they don't have resale value, it's best to just pass them along to a company that recycles them properly. Most small e-recycling companies don't make money on CRTs, unless they're charging more to accept them than it costs to recycle them.

justicious:Dismantling CRTs for recycling is regulated in many states and also by the EPA. It's also dangerous, time consuming and counter-productive. While you'll get some good recyclable materials, you'll also have to pay to get rid of the tubes, which are hazardous waste.
