Garage sale find: 5 almost full 500' rolls of 12 gauge coated electrical wire $15.00 plus 2 additional half rolls $1.00 each. My question : should I try to resell, melt the coating and scrap or tuck away and save for later date (I don't need the cash now). What do you think?

Put it on Craigslist for half of retail and you should have people racing to your door.

Unless you really love your scrapyard owner, there's no reason to give him the good stuff. 12 gauge is perfect for most wiring jobs and there's always a demand for it, especially at a good discount to retail.

Sell it to me! I need to do some wiring. That is a fantastic deal that you got. The seller clearly had no idea what that was worth. It is definitely worth more as is. Don't scrap it.
