So, a guy buys 50-60 Frying pans.....

....and has no idea how to flip them. How would you advise him?

If you have a gas stove you can put a cast iron fry pay in it and put the stove in the cleaning mode and in four hours you have a new fry pan. Just season it and it is ready to go.

Didn't look at the original link to see what the hubub's about but I can confirm the above and regardless of whether gas or electric, as long as it has a self-cleaning mode. Have done it myself on an electric self-cleaner. They get to about 850F which chars all the organic matter. (Doesn't remove rust, if they are rusty they'll have to be sand-blasted.)

These were coated and very dirty AL pans. 850f is a no go there.

Yeah, look at the link - those aren't going to be easy to clean, and used won't bring much even if clean.

Scrap em, Aluminum is not a good metal to cook with. With any acidic foods some metal gets into it and can bioaccumulate in your body. Some evidence to suggest this can increase your risk of alzheimers.

Make sure no steel where the handle hooks on if so see how easy it is to remove and then alum pile! If too much a pain to remove if it is steel then as is dirty alum pile
